History and Analysis
89-95 Cornelia Street is a row of four three-and-a-half-story tenements built in 1893, designed by H. W. Billard. The original owner and builder, John Menahan who resided at 25 Bleecker Street also developed 1157-63 Putnam Avenue and 1172-80 Putnam Avenue in 1892. All structures have been highly altered; none of them retains its original brick facade and cornice, and is completely covered in vinyl siding.
