History and Analysis

695 Bushwick Avenue is a brownstone row-house, possibly once part of a row of two with #693. It retains its original cornice, some lintel detailing, ornamental entryway, and possibly fence, but its facade has clearly been damaged by repeated painting/stripping, and the replacement of lost stone around windows on the second and third floors with what appear to be two-by-fours.
