History and Analysis
Both of these buildings are part of a row that comprises the entire south side of Hart Street between Bushwick and Evergreen Avenues. Like 544 Hart Street, these buildings are surivors of their row architecturally speaking. They retain original stoops, entries, gates, and doors. They also possess original pressed-metal cornices and sandstone cladding, beltcourses and lintels. The date of these buildings was determined from the Brooklyn Department of Buildings.
