History and Analysis
47 Weirfield Street is a free standing, three-and-a-half story tenement with a projecting bay extending the height of the right side of the front facade and a stoop on the right side, located between Bushwick Avenue and Broadway. It is covered in vinyl siding with most historic ornament removed. The wood framed, brick filled tenement with a tin roof was designed by H. Vollweiler. It was commissioned by Duffy and Jackson of 163 Powers Street in 1888 for $3,000 who also developed 1232-1242 Bushwick Avenue around the corner during the same year.
