12 and 14 Lawton street are two-story, raised basement, highly-altered rowhouses. 12 appears to retain its original stoop, and both structures retain their original entries. 14 Lawton is clad in a carved-stone veneer and 12 has vinyl siding. Both structures also have front porch additions which obstruct the view of the entire building. The date of these buildings was determined from historic maps of Brooklyn.
