History and Analysis
1095-1119 Putnam Avenue is a row of thirteen three-and-a -half story brick tenements, built for $3,800 each in 1889 by Caltagirone & Son. The original owner Lydia Gimpel resided at 1115 Putnam Avenue. All structures retain a high level of architectural integrity with much of the original characteristics intact, including the ornamental brick facade, the stoops, and wood cornices.
