History and Analysis
1022-28 Madison Street is a row of four two-and-a-half-story rowhouse built for $4,000 each in 1892 designed by Theobald Engelhardt. Although 1026 Madison Street has been covered in carved stone veneering, the structures retain a high level of architectural integrity with much of the original characteristics intact, including the stoops and cornices.
