History and Analysis
1000-1012 Hancock Street is a row of seven three bay, two-and-a-half-story rowhouse with stoops on the left side of the front facade, located between Bushwick Avenue and Broadway. All are covered in vinyl or asphalt siding with most historic ornament removed, save the cornices at 1000, 1002, and 1012. Per the typical development patterns of the period, the buildings were most likely constructed concurrently as a speculative development venture.
